Actually, any cat breed with the name "Rex" in it should have some sort of curly-haired gene.
These cats are born with a rare genetic mutation that causes their fur to be curly, and it is literally the cutest thing on the internet. No, they didn't just get back from the hairdresser - they were born this way! They look so soft and cuddly that even just scrolling through pictures of them wraps our hearts in a wholesome feline embrace. When there are so many cute cats on the street or in shelters that need our help, why would we waste several thousand dollars on a cat from a breeder? Just by existing, by napping, by sunbathing, by gently purring next to you, they make you calmer. You get into a certain rhythm with them, and everyone gets used to it. Your cat loves you and the routine you bring them and vice versa. And so, when someone new steps into that routine, it can take some adjusting - on everyone's part.
An effort has to be made, by the intruding partner, to get into the cat's routine, to become a part of it. So, when this sister was invited to stay in this cat's home - and yes, it was the cat's home before it was hers - and made no effort, problems arose. But instead of taking the criticism, when the cat's owners told her that she was behaving disrespectfully, she had a fit so big it's kind of ridiculous.

They deserve love, they deserve appreciation, and every once in a while, in moderation of course, they deserve snacks too. It should be okay. Turns out, the cat belonged to her neighbor, who owns a whopping nine free-roaming felines. Concerned for the senior cat's health, this kind-hearted pawrent offered food, pets, and even shelter during a thunderstorm, letting her rest in the catio with the door open for a stress-free escape.
When the neighbor came knocking (loudly) the next morning, fur flew. Despite the cat heading home on her own hours earlier, the neighbor accused her of stealing her cat, hurled insults, and warned her never to interact with her cats again. To make things messier, she then spread rumors around the neighborhood, painting this rescuer as a catnapper.
